Working in the biopharmaceutical field is not for all people as quite specific education is necessary. That means higher education either in biogenetics or other fields of genetic research. The advantage of most of the biopharmaceutical jobs is that they are rather high rewarding, not in terms of remuneration but only in the satisfaction of being able to develop a help for thousands of people suffering from some kind of disease.
On the other hand, biopharmaceutical jobs are also extremely exhausting as it is rather common that some kind of product developed will not go through the testing phase by other health organizations before it is accepted, which means that years and years of work have gone down the drain. Thus, working on a biopharmaceutical jobs can mean that you see your hard work thrown away for some small and basically unnoticeable mistake.
To conclude, the negative sides will definitely not overweigh all the positive results that good work at a biopharmaceutical job can achieve. So if you are not afraid of rather long studies and are interested in the field of biopharmaceuticals and discovering and developing new products seems exciting to you, than this is definitely a job for you.
